If you recently updated some of your cabinetry with glass knobs this recall may affect you. 26 styles of glass decorative knobs from Pier 1 Imports have been recalled due to a laceration hazard.
The 400,000 knobs recalled in the United States and Canada were manufactured in India by Dileep Industries, Goel Exports and Glasscraft Exports and sold from August 2010 through February 2017 for between $5 and $14.
The knobs are made from glass and affixed to a threaded stem. The glass knobs can break when over tightened or when pressure is applied, exposing a sharp edge, posing a risk of getting cut.
Pier 1 Imports is offering a refund for the defective knobs. Return your knobs to your local store or contact Pier 1 Imports toll-free at 855-513-5140 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT Saturday or 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT Sunday.
