WilsonArt Spectrum Crossweave and Mid-Century Options

Wilsonart has introduced Spectrum – an entirely new Virtual Design Library (VDL) category that pairs subtle, layered design with a spectacular range of colors.

Spectrum premiered with the Crossweave Series – 25 curated colors in a cross-directional design with a woven feel. The dazzling colors in the Crossweave series was taken directly from emerging trends and translated into fresh, current and fashionable hues. in addition to beautiful blues and subdued neutrals, you’ll find pinks, corals greens and yellows.

Spectrum revolves around tone-on-tone patterns that can be specified in nearly any color, to match an existing color standard. Each series of Spectrum designs – like Crossweave – is offered in a “starter set” of curated color options designed to reflect emerging trends.

Customizing a Spectrum color is as easy as referencing a color system (Pantone uncoated) or paint number (Benjamin Moore, Pittsburgh Paint, Sherwin Williams).

Crossweave colors, along with the current 200 designs in the Virtual Design Library, can be turned around from factory to fabricator in as little as two weeks, speeding up the delivery process and allowing designers to bring their visions to life quickly and in a uniquely personal way.

Coming Soon

I got a sneak peek of 7 new Retro Category laminates coming in February. The Retro category is designed to help connect homeowners of mid-century and vintage homes with the colors from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s for their kitchen and bathroom projects.

Finding small-scale, tone-on-tone, abstract pattern laminates in a variety of retro colors has been a particularly vexing problem for Retro Renovators, until now.

This new Retro Renovation pattern includes three abstract characters – line-drawn boomerangs intermingled with a loose figure eight and a rounded rectangle. For these new tone-on-tone patterns Wilsonart collaborated with Pam Kueber and Kate Battle of RetroRenovation.com

Here’s an actual installation from RetroRenotation.com using Wilsonart Retro Renovation Delightful Jade – inspired by jadeite milk glass. Kate tells us it coordinates beautifully with her original 1962 American Standard green bathtub.

While at KBIS on Blog Tour KBIS, I also saw the brand new Wilsonart HD Laminate with Antimicrobial Protection and AEON Scratch & Scuff Resistance; four new additions to the Wilsonart Residential Laminate Collection; four new Wilsonart Quartz items; and 19 new additions to the Wilsonart Solid Surface Collection.
