Dishwashers Recalled by GE/Hotpoint

In a voluntary recall, GE Appliances is recalling 1.3 million dishwashers made under the GE, GE Adora, GE Eterna, GE Profile and Hotpoint brand names.

An electrical failure in the unit’s heating element can pose a fire danger in units made between March 2006 and August 2009. Locate your model number on the left side of the tub’s interior to see if you are affected by this recall.

You can submit your model and serial number through the GE Hotline 1-866-918-8760 or use their online form to determine if your dishwasher is included in the recall.

Turn off your breaker to your Dishwasher if you are part of the recall. You can apply for a FREE repair or you can get a $75 rebate towards the purchase of certain GE front-control plastic tub dishwashers, or a GE rebate of $100 for the purchase of certain GE front-control stainless tub dishwashers or GE Profile top control dishwashers.
