Liebherr-Hausgeraete Lienz GmbH, of Austria, is recalling about 5,700 built-In 30-inch wide bottom Freezer Refrigerators.
Some of the recalled units contain screw locking devices which can malfunction in a way that the door hinge pin can become loose. If the appliance is equipped with a door stopper device, the door may remain attached to the appliance despite the loosening door hinge pin.
In 2009 Liebherr had a similar recall with built-in 24-inch wide single door refrigerators with model numbers R1400, RI1400, RB1400, and RBI1400 sold individually or as a component of side-by-side refrigerators. The side-by-side refrigerators were marketed as model numbers SBS240, SBS24 I0, SBS245, SBS24I5.
Consult the chart below for models affected by this current recall.
The model number can be found on a label located behind the bottom drawer on the left interior side of the single door refrigerator.
If you own a recalled refrigerator, contact Liebherr for your free repair even if your door is not lose. Remember to check the bottom hinge, too.
