  1. You have some excellent ideas for bathrooms. That has been one of the recurring themes in my own life–looking for a way to make our bathrooms and our kitchen look really glorious, even though those rooms are much too small. One of the glories of the Internet, though, is that there is absolutely no dearth of ideas. Right now I have no idea of what I will ultimately do, but I keep hoping I will come up with something really slick.

  2. Hi Ann,
I’m an Architect renovating several bathrooms at my house and I’d love to use a linear drain in one shower. I want to be able to slope the shower in only one direction, using 12 inch square tiles. The Quick Drain sizes don’t work for the space I have. Do you have an Illbruck contact in the US? Their website is just pretty pictures, no tech data. Thanks for your help.

      1. You may want to try SCS Designs Online, they are a very good looking product and the guys at SCS can custom make a linear drain for you with a short turn around time. I was very impressed with Peter’s work.

    1. Hi Lisa,
I am surprised that you could not find a size from Quick Drain USA that would fit your shower size. Quick Drain USA makes 10 standard sizes and custom sizes are from 12″ to 10 feet!
Please, let me know what size you are looking for.

  3. QuickDrain won a KBIS award for their linear product. I think it’s ideal for aging in place projects, one of my specializations. I was surprised to learn, when I wrote about this a while ago, that they don’t meet code in certain parts of the country. I hope that changes soon.

    1. Jamie,
thank you for the nice words. I am not aware of any part of the country that Quick Drain USA does not meet the plumbing code standards. Please, let me know where it is that I can fix it.

  4. I have a 5 ft back wall for a shower that I am renovating so I believe that would require me to use a 58 in quickdrain. Any idea how expensive this drain would be? I get the feeling it is quite expensive.
