Guggenheim Debuts New Paint Collection

A new paint collection will be available October 13th with most of the colors drawn from or inspired by paintings in the Guggenheim’s vast holdings of modern and contemporary art.

50 colors will comprise the special “Gallery Colors” group, representing specific paint colors chosen by Guggenheim curators over the years to accompany different exhibitions.

The specialty paints are co-branded with Vermont-based paint maker Fine Paints of Europe.  The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum Paint collection will join the Mount Vernon Estate of Colours, RAL collection and the British Standard Collection to name a few offered by Fine Paints of Europe.

Guggenheim Classical Colors and Gallery Colors fan decks and paints are available at selected Fine Paints of Europe retailers or directly through Fine Paints of Europe.

It’s too bad they don’t share which paintings they drew inspiration from.
